Comfortable, spacious room. Convenient location.
Breakfast service was very slow. Single waitress rushed off her feet - needed more assistance. Dinner in associated restaurant not as good as expected.
Location, very comfortable bed, Breakfast very good.
was there for a wedding and stayed only one night but had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Made to feel welcome and the helpfullness of the Senior Receptionist
Good value for money. Accomodation separate to the main hotel was good. Rooms quiet at night with windows and curtains closed despite adjacent motorway. Wallace restaurant was excellent.
Tired looking on the outside. Not really a family hotel or location.
The hotel was clean and comfortable with friendly staff.
We also attended a wedding reception whilst staying in the hotel. I did not like the bar charges. The cost of soft drinks are far too high. Not a good idea when there are people who will be driving.
Excellent, spacious and very comfortable room. Good quality dinner at Wallace's and great cooked breakfast.
I was suprised when i arrived, my window was permantley open and would not close, you can see daylight all around the door, this is not a secure option.
The food in the restaurant was lovely as was the breakfast, with plenty of choice available. Restaurant food was reasonably priced.
Room could have been cleaner - dust on the carpet at skirting boards and kettle didn't look like it had been cleaned.
Enjoyed our stay breakfast was very good and the waiting staff were first class.
Cleanliness, efficient staff, lovely breakfast and convenience for Edinburgh
The hotel was as expected and first class. Within easy reach for the Falkirk Wheel and not to far for Glasgow , Edinburgh or the locks and the highlands.
Finding the hotel using the Post Code for the navigators is a litle out. but with map updates it may well be OK.
The location of the hotel was perfect.Very leafy and floral surroundings.Could not think that we were only a few miles from either Edinburgh or Glasgow. We were allocated room 310 in the Garden wing, and we had a quiet undisturbed sleep.
Although the bathroom was clean,in the main room the carpet under the bed was very dusty, as though it had not been vacuum cleaned for a while.Breakfast not very good value.
We were at a wedding and we both considered that the food was the best we'd ever had and the food and wine was excellent in Wallace's the previous evening. Good location for touring around with Stirling Castle, Edinburgh and Glagow within easy reach.
Good Food & restaurant staff excellent
Housekeeping removed towels while we were at breakfast so no towels to dry hands on return. Shower gel not replenished for 2nd night stay .Barman not behind bar, kept disappearing on the Friday night,
